House foundations in cell glas

Instead of a traditional construction in cellular plastic and concrete, which is not a particularly sustainable way of building a slab on land, you can now build a house foundation in cellular glass that has unparalleled properties as they are completely insensitive to moisture, mold, radon, pests and fire and are made from 100% recycled glass – completely environmentally friendly and durable.

Cellular glass can withstand large loads, ranging from 50 to 240 tons/sqm, depending on the choice of block type.

Cellular glass cannot shrink or expand regardless of external influences. It consists of thin-walled glass cells, which makes it easy to carry and handle. A simple joint tail is enough to cut the block.

Water and steam cannot penetrate the Cellglass. This means that the insulation value (lambda) is unchanged during the entire life of the building. Since cellular glass does not absorb moisture, it is also no breeding ground for fungus or rot damage. Cellular glass is the insulation with a built-in vapor barrier.

Cellular glass is resistant to attacks from rodents, such as mice and rats, but also ants and birds. The material is completely inorganic and cannot rot or be attacked by fungi. With these properties, cellular glass is perfect for building house foundations.

The cellular glass block is radon-proof. Radon is a radioactive gas that forms in the bedrock when radium decays. Radon gas increases the risk of developing lung cancer.

Cellular glass as a material has been around for almost 100 years. We don’t know for sure how long cellular glass has, but since Cellglas is made of glass, it retains its insulating value as it cannot possibly absorb moisture. Glass has a degradation time of 1 million years or never.
